Go collect for Red Cross

Go-collect is a foundation for the Danish Red Cross. It was the national collection day with Red Cross for disaster areas, developmental assistance as well as vulnerable and loneliness in Denmark. For every 10 kroners we collected, 8 of them would be going directly to the helping work force around Denmark. The activity lasted quiet a while, however, we were able to cover a large area of houses in Nyborg, where the collection took place. I was fortunate enough to collect 1089 kroners throughout the time span of 3 hour. It was a very rewarding activity, although, not everyone was as kind when it came to the collection, as I visited an old home where there were some very unkind greetings. However, I think it was an activity which i spent a few hours to help many people throughout the country. It was a good feeling to do something else for someone as well as being very positive about the activity although it was on a sunday morning. I enjoyed doing the collection as well as spending time with some class mates to do the job and overall, i believe it was a good way of making us aware of the things that Red Cross does for the country as well as informing people about it. It was my first time ever participating in a money collection for charity however, i believe it was very worthwhile and i did not have any problems with the activity.
